Tell us about your investment experience
I didn’t have any investments prior to working with Lifestyle Property People – I just had savings building up in the bank which were earning very little interest. I’d always heard people banging on about Property and how it makes a good investment, but because I didn’t know how to go about finding and buying the right one, I had never bothered to try it. That’s partly why I was so interested in your model, because you guys take care of it all. I saw the opportunity and decided to give it a go, and thanks to you, I’ve now got 3 properties under my belt!
What were you trying to achieve with this investment?
There were a few things really. First and foremost I knew that the money I had in the bank was not working for me and in fact, it was eroding due to inflation. Second, I was pulled in by the idea of having an additional income stream aside from my monthly salary, which will help me become more financially secure over time and allow me to live the life I want to live without worrying about money. But, the biggest and most important thing I was trying to achieve was to create a legacy – I want to set some good foundations for generations to come.
Why is creating and leaving a legacy important to you?
My parents and grandparents came from India and Kenya to the UK. They grafted hard to build us a good, comfortable life with a roof over our heads. I’ve seen what they’ve been able to achieve and I want to make sure I can build on the legacy, helping future generations to be more financially secure. When I’m older I want to look back and know that I did the best I could and I will be remembered for it.
What has influenced this?
When I started work, I was being paid the minimum wage. But over time I’ve progressed well and I’m seeing pay cheques that I never thought I would. I’ve now got more money than I need, and that’s what has made me think: ‘what’s the point of it all?’ I want to set the bar for future generations!
What do you value about Lifestyle’s service?
The team earned my trust quickly and I found them to be very reliable. I didn’t know anything about property when I was going into this, and I made a lot of calls to them to ask questions throughout the process. They were always patient and didn’t mind explaining things to me as many times as it took for me to get my head around them. Everyone was always professional and helpful, no matter who I was dealing with, whether it was the founder or the project manager.

The service quality was maintained throughout – from when I bought my first property to when I bought my third, everything was consistent.
What results did you achieve?
I was pleased to actually get an insight into how to go about purchasing property and I felt it was a good learning curve for me. I’ve managed to buy 3 properties that I can’t get emotionally attached to as I’ve never even seen them and although there have been a few ups and downs with the tenants, I know that that’s the nature of being a landlord! Of course, I also gained a secondary income and I feel like I’ve finally started to build my legacy!
