Today we catch up with London based husband and wife team, Ajul & Roshni.
Like many of our clients, Ajul and Roshni found themselves drawn to the financial security and independence that investing in property offered them. After seeing our posts on a Facebook community group, they decided that now was the time to diversify their funds and start investing in BTL property.
We asked them about their decision to invest in the Leeds property market.
The Background
As is the case for many of our clients, Ajul and Roshni first discovered Lifestyle Property People through social media. After seeing our posts on a Facebook community group, they decided that now was the time to diversify their funds and start investing in BTL property.
Although the couple hadn’t spoken to any of our existing clients, they had seen us posting regularly for several months and felt confident knowing that others within the community had experienced our service and left glowing reviews.
The Why
Ajul and Roshni found themselves drawn to the financial security and independence that investing in property offered them.
With both having relatively well-paid jobs, they wanted to convert their savings into more time in the future, and with much of their time spent at work, they needed a more hands-off approach.
“I think this is a long-term strategy for both of us. We want to be in a position where we can rely on another source of income by the time we get to retirement.“
Ajul added, “It was also so we could become less reliant on our day jobs for income. Of course, 1 house isn’t going to move the needle much, but, over time, the investment could become quite substantial.”
Beyond creating a more passive income source for the future, they also wanted to diversify from the stocks and shares market where much of their wealth was invested.
The Process
Despite living and working in London, with Ajul growing up in the North and Roshni studying at the University of Nottingham, the couple had already bought into the idea of investing further away. The Yorkshire region quickly became a desirable choice, thanks to its relative affordability, the scope for growth, and the overall expected returns.
